Kariobangi Seventh Day Adventist Church History
Introduction
Kariobangi SDA church is a community church for Adventist faithful who worship the Almighty God the creator of the universe and keep all the commandments as instructed.
Every Saturday the faithful meet in the church situated along outering ring off Juja Road opposite the Barclays bank Outering Branch.

The current number of church membership as per the register stands at 668 members as per the Church register. (Year 2008)

Kariobangi Seventh Day Adventist church has been progressive since it was organized as a church in 1974. Since then it has been able to grow and expand in various ways.it has been able to open various Sabbath school which have been organized and ordained into churches.
Church Achievements, Expansion and Growth
The first Sabbath school to opened was Ngomongo Sabbath school back in 1981. This was followed by Dandora, Survey, Mathare North, GSU, Baba dogo and Korogocho. All this except Korogocho have been organized into full fledged churches. Currently Kariobangi has three more Sabbath schools; Kariobangi East, Huruma Sabbath School and Kariobangi South Sabbath School
The church also has been able open church school. The school was initially called Kariobangi Adventist Academy but the name was later changed to Kariobangi Adventist Educational Center. The school has all the primary school classes plus baby and pre school classes. It started with —— students, currently it has — members of the teaching staff and — non teaching staff and —– students.
2003 qhe the government declared free primary education the school lost a number of students. The school had to look for bright students to sponsor to be able to register an exam class

Church takes evangelism as a central theme in its work. Some of the Evangelism efforts major crusades conducted, Locally
- Baba Dogo 3 weeks Evangelist Willy Ngige leading to establishment of Baba Dogo Sabbath
- Fokenberg Crusade 2 weeks Huruma Grounds
- Huruma crusade that resulted to the setting up of Huruma Sabbath school
- Civil Servant crusade – Kariobangi South Sabbath School
Other Crusades conducted sponsored by Church Members to un entered areas resulting to church planting – Indicate the other crusade I have forgotten if we can get the number of people baptized in those crusade it will be good.
